Nádia grew up in Lisbon within a half-Mozambican, half-Portuguese family. This heritage and culture have deeply inspired her work. It was her grandfather's love and knowledge of photography that first led Nádia to pick up a camera and discover how she could use it to best express herself.
Through her work Nádia constantly seeks out a connection to her cultural heritage and identity, creating compelling narratives using vibrant and complex colour schemes, in which women often take centre stage.
